New curriculum released - different strands of wellbeing emphasised

The curriculum emphasises the different strands of wellbeing; we see and opportunity to build on these strands to bring together the interconnected and holistic nature of relationships and sexuality education.

“As an organisation that has been delivering relationships and sexuality education since 1953, our focus is on supporting schools to bring the new curriculum to life through high-quality, practical and curriculum-aligned resources,” chief executive Jackie Edmond says.

“We also see an opportunity to build on the curriculum by developing content that brings together the different strands of wellbeing and supports a holistic approach to relationships and sexuality education."

“Our aim is to make it easier for schools and educators to deliver learning that is relevant, connected and responsive to the needs of children and young people.”
